Description: This is the only official record of spending in the U.S. House of Representatives, including members' representational allowances and House offices (e.g. the Architect of the Capitol). Data from 2016 on comes from the House Chief Administrative Officer's quarterly Statement of Disbursements detail files, through June 30, 2026 (obtained Oct. 13, 2026). Data for 2010–2015 comes from ProPublica's conversion of the Statement of Disbursements PDFs. See Sean McMinn's 2018 NICAR data blitz talk.
