Description: Virginia contributions data was obtained from the Virginia Department of Elections State Board of Elections. Data is available from 2012 on and has been updated February 2023.
Each record is a single campaign contribution made to a political campaign from an individual or business. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
