Collection: Money in politics
Description: Ohio expenditures data was obtained from the Ohio Secretary of States. Bulk annual files are found on the File Transfer Page by calendar year starting in 1991. Data is available from 1990 on and has been updated through 2020.
Each record is a single campaign expenditure made to an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
