Description: Campaign expenditures data for the state of Connecticut is managed by the State Elections Enforcement Commission (SEEC). The data can be obtained from the SEEC Campaign Reporting Information System (eCRIS) public search portal. Each record represents a single expenditure or cross-campaign contribution made by a campaign to an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data set contains all original columns. New columns with normalized character strings are searched from The Accountability Project database. Data processing was done using R software and is documented on The Accountability Project GitHub repository.
