Description: Data is from the Rhode Island Division of Purchasing and distributed via the state transparency portal. It was last updated May 7, 2019. Each record represents a single contract or purchase order between a state agency and an outside vendor providing goods or services. The transparency portal only provides contracts with a value exceeding $1 million. The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database. Data was processed using R software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
