Description: Data is from the Louisiana Division of Administration and was obtained via a records request under the Louisiana Public Records Act. Data was provided to IRW as a series of Excel spreadsheets. Data includes current public employees as of 2019. Each record represents a single contract or purchase order between a state agency and an outside vendor providing goods or services. The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database. Data was processed using R software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
