Description: Data is from the Vermont Department of Finance, hosted on the state Open Data portal under the title “Vermont Vendor Payments” in the finance category. The data file was originally uploaded on October 13, 2016 and was last updated May 15, 2020. Each record represents a single contract or purchase order between a state agency and an outside vendor providing goods or services. The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database. Data was processed using R software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
