Description: Mississippi expenditures data was obtained from the Mississippi Secretary of State's online campaign finance portal. Data is available from 2016 on and has been updated through January 2023. Each record is a single campaign expenditure made to an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
