Description: Voter data for the state of Florida can be obtained from the state Division of Elections. The file was provided to the Investigative Reporting Workshop by mail on a compact disc and uploaded to the Workshop’s AWS server. The data was updated to include registered voters in the state of Florida as of Oct. 10, 2023. Each record represents a single voter registered in the state of Florida as of October 2020 or August 2019. The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database. Data was processed using R software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
