Description: The Washington voter registration database can be obtained for free from the Washington Secretary of State. The current copy of the database was obtained on November 20, 2020 and combined with a previous version of the database from 2019. Each record represents a single monetary or in-kind contribution made to a committee or candidate by an individual or some other business entity. The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database. Data was processed using R software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
