Description: New Mexico expenditures data was obtained from the New Mexico Secretary of State's Campaign Finance Information System. Data was collected and combined from both the decommissioned CFIS website and the replacement site launched in 2020. Data is available from 2000 on and has been updated through 2021.
Each record is a single campaign expenditure made to an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
