Description: Mississippi contributions data was obtained from the Mississippi Secretary of State's online campaign finance portal. Only contributions submitted after October 2016 are available in digital format. Data is available from 2016 on and has been updated through Jan. 28 2023. Each record is a single campaign contribution made to a political campaign from an individual or business. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
