Collection: Money in politics
Description: Arizona expenditures data was obtained under open records law Arizona open records law. A database file was provided to the Investigative Workshop after a $25 fee was paid to the state. Data is available from 1996 on and the data was updated through Aug. 12, 2020.
Each record is a single campaign expenditure made to an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
