Description: Alabama state contracts were obtained via an open records request submitted to the Alabama Department of Finance. Data was initially requested Oct. 10, 2021 and was received in bulk digital format on Dec. 14, 2021.
Each record is a single contract between the state and an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
