Collection: Licenses
Description: Massachusetts licenses are obtained from the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs and published on a search portal. On June 1, 2022 all records were requested for each license type and combined. The data included licenses issued as far back as the mid 20th century.
Each record is a single occupational or professional license issued to an individual or facility. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
