Description: Chicago city contracts were obtained from the city's open data portal and are managed by the Department of Procurement Services. Data was obtained on Oct. 15, 2026, and includes contracts approved from 1993 through Oct. 9, 2026.
Each record is a single contract between the city and an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
