Description: Chicago city contracts were obtained from the city's open data portal and manage by the Department of Procurement Services. Data was obtained on February 2, 2023 and includes data from 1993 through the end of January, 2023.
Each record is a single contract between the state and an outside vendor for goods or services. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
