Record Count:: 36,435,383

Collection: Money in politics
Description: Texas contributions data was obtained from the Texas Ethics Commission. Contributions are spread across record-limited chronological files; see the README in the bulk data download for more information. Data is available from 1994 on and was obtained from the commission on Oct. 12, 2026. Contributors' street addresses are not included: Texas law has the commission withhold them from its data files.
Each record is a single campaign contribution made to a political campaign from an individual or business. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
