Description: Texas contributions data was obtained from the Texas Ethics Commission. Contributions are spread across record-limited chronological files in the README file for more information. Data is available from 2000 on and has been updated through 2023.
Each record is a single campaign contribution made to a political campaign from an individual or business. The full data files contain all original columns. New columns with normalized data are used for searches. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
