Description: Data is from the Ohio Secretary of State via their bulk download File Transfer Page (FTP). Files are split by committee type (candidate, PAC, party) by calendar year starting in 1991 through Dec. 31, 2022..Each record represents a single contribution made to a political campaign committee by an individual or group.
The full data set contains all original variables and new variables added with minimally, consistently, and confidently normalized character strings. These normalized strings are those searched from the Accountability database. Data processing was done using open-source software and is documented on the Accountability Project GitHub repository.
